How To Improve Your Work Life Balance with Little Effort Part 2.
A good work life balance is achieved when you have harmony between your employment and home life. It's when you feel you are productive at work and also have enough time to take care of the other aspects of your life.
Work-life balance can be challenging in the best of times, but in times of economic stagnation and uncertainty, the challenge is that much greater. Strategies such as those listed in Part 1, and now Part 2, have all been proven to be effective at balancing out one's work and home life, otherwise known as work life balance.

The first 5 tips that were mentioned in part 1 are:
1. Have a morning routine
2. Eat, Sleep and exercise
3. Establish boundaries and stick to them
4. Learn to say “No”
5. Learn to delegate
Now here are another four…
6. Prioritise
Spend some time seriously working out what is important and urgent, and what is not so much. Then start working on the important and urgent items. That way, you are less likely to run out of time and if you do, you are more likely to have completed the urgent and important tasks. Qualify tasks by their urgency. Does it have to be done today? If so, do it. If it can wait, identify a time when you will get to it. Create a next physical action for items on the to-do list.
Using a pen and paper or your tech gadget, you can plan your time. Set a time to plan out your personal and professional life every day and keep your schedule handy to help you stay focused.
7. Family and Friends
Relationships with family, friends, and loved ones are the greatest source of inner well-being. Ultimately, both areas will suffer if your work or career undermines your personal relationship. Certainly there will be days when you will have to work overtime. It's a problem when it comes to rules rather than exceptions these days. Prioritising personal relationships can actually improve your productivity and effectiveness at work.
8. Work Smarter Not Harder
Using time more efficiently is something everyone from school students to the CEO can benefit from. Adopting the right combination of time management strategies and technologies can save you an hour a day. Technologies might include group emails, voice messaging or using the services of a virtual assistant to take over some of the tasks that are taking up so much time or causing the most distraction throughout the day.
Working smart, not long involves tight prioritisation – allowing yourself a certain amount of time per task – and trying not to get caught up in less productive activities, such as unstructured meetings that tend to take up lots of time.”
9. Take Regular Me Times
Crucial to maintaining a reasonable work life balance is remembering to take time out for yourself. It is no good working all week and then rushing home for quality family time if you are physically and mentally worn out. Both you and your family will suffer for it. Therefore take an hour a day maybe at lunch or on your way home, to do something you like to do. You can exercise at your work gym, go for a walk, read a book under a tree or play a game of table tennis against your colleagues. As long as it is not work or talking or thinking about work, you will feel the benefits at the end of the day.
So what are you waiting for, take the time to put these tips and strategies into practice. You’ll be a more productive, efficient and happy worker, because you’ve made taking care of yourself a priority.
